President's Message from Donald Rausch, VCCU CEO

Have you ever noticed that some months tend to be busier than others? July just feels like one of those months….

For some, the 4th of July is one of the highlights of summer. Adorning the red, white, and blue regalia, people shift from town to town catching the 4th of July parades, cheering the local marching bands as they march by. My favorite marching band includes clowns, but I digress. Many are busy preparing for the backyard BBQ-pulling out the tables, coolers, backyard games, and the grill. Others will be loading their vehicles and boats, stocking up on sunscreen, as they head to the lake for a fun filled weekend on the water with family and friends. And as the sun sets, everyone will tip their heads to the sky, catching the local fireworks, exclaiming their chorus of “oohs and ahhs” as they explode in the night.

And that is just for the beginning of July- Then we all hit the rest of the month. Family reunions, camping trips, mowing the lawn, and tending the garden. Hauling the kids to the baseball tournaments, softball double headers, hockey camps, and soccer practice. Golf tournaments and fundraisers become a weekly occurrence. July tends to fill up with activities- where “busy” tends to be the norm and relaxation is hit with zealous when the opportunity arises.

When things get busy, convenience becomes a necessity and a way of life. We all look for convenience and ease in all that we do- whether it is our daily chores, items that we shop for, or the way we conduct business and shopping.

We at VCCU recognize this – knowing that your time and ease of experience are valuable. With that in mind, this past year, we have made enhancements to our digital service channels and online banking, with a refreshed user interface that is more responsive to your online banking needs.

Recently, our lobby has re-opened too, so if your preference is to conduct business in person, we are here for that also. We have missed seeing our member’s faces and are excited that the lobby is open again.
