June 2019 President’s Message

President's Message from Donald Rausch, VCCU CEO

Summer is finally here!

I’m proud of our overwhelming success because of our staff and you our member/owners. We don’t take your trust for granted. We strive to earn that trust with every interaction. We are also committed to providing our membership with great value through competitive rates, a variety of product offerings, and great service.

Our philosophy has been to attract and retain staff that provide the membership with the best service. We have added Lanis and Tesa to our teller staff, and Ethan to our loan department. This is so important to the future success of the credit union. Our building and location is something the membership can be proud of because it represents our commitment to our employees, the membership, neighborhood, and community. We have a couple more things that we are working on, such as expanding our parking lot and adding an additional exit.

Many of our members prefer to conduct financial interactions with the credit union through online or mobile applications. Each month, several transactions are completed with VCCU’s mobile banking tools. As we continuously plan to make additional enhancements to both the online and mobile platforms. We are committed to making your interactions with the credit union efficient and convenient regardless of how you interact with us.

Credit unions are the best value in the financial industry. Yet, many are still unaware of the credit union difference. The real difference is ownership. We don’t have stockholders or investors to worry about. The Minnesota League of Credit Unions (which VCCU is a member of) has just started an awareness initiative called “Open Your Eyes to Credit Unions” with the focus on getting the word out there on credit unions. Our focus like there’s is taking care of the membership. You are our best ambassadors to let people know how credit unions have improved your life. So fully open your eyes to credit unions and what they can do for you, your family and friends.

Thank you for the business and for the confidence you place in VCCU.
