March 2021 President’s Message
I hope this message finds you and yours doing well. Since the pandemic declaration in March 2020, everyone has had to modify their behaviors and routines. Fortunately, one year later we are hopefully coming out of this pandemic with the vaccine.
Many of us hope to see better days ahead. Yet, I encourage all of us to think how we can be part of the solution to respectfully find common ground and embrace the values that unite us. To that end, I have renewed my resolve to live by our credit unions founding principles of honor and integrity in all our work.
2021 will also be a big year for our membership as a whole—a testament to our growing community. While our population has grown significantly since our founding 84 years ago, our commitment to member service has remained the same. It is this consistency and stability, through good times and bad, that makes us who we are as your credit union.
So wherever, however, or whenever you would like to get in touch with us this year, know that we’re here for you and your family, to help you find your path toward your financial goals.
Each year, we invite our member/owners and staff to gather and reflect on the previous year’s events. We will review the financial state of the Credit Union and give you the chance to exercise your rights as a member/owner. Due to the pandemic and everyone not receiving vaccinations yet, we will be holding our Annual Meeting virtually on Thursday, March 25th, 2021. Member/owners will have the opportunity to join the meeting virtually and more information regarding time and connecting will be forth coming.
Thank you for being a member/owner of VCCU.
