November 2020 President’s Message
Way back in 2013 our Board of Directors set a goal to make VCCU more accessible to our membership. Since then we have built a new building at a more convenient location for most members, installed an ATM machine, and added a cellphone application, among other upgrades.
The new operating platform will be a major jump in technology for us and our member/owners, designed to enhance the accessibility of your accounts. Debit cards are now real time, so when you make a deposit or online transfer, you will be able to use that money from the checking account right away. We have a new loan platform out on our website, streamlining the lending process, and giving us the ability to use e-signatures to sign documents remotely, which is coming in handy in our times of Covd-19.
Our online platform is also more streamlined, since your time is valuable, we wanted to give you tools that would help you better manage your account when and how you want to.
In the coming months we will be launching remote deposit capture, bill pay, and re-launching our phone banking system. All of these will add convenience and accessibility to your membership, a path that we started seven years ago.
We are committed to being a part of your community and neighborhoods, in good times and in bad. The challenges we have faced this year have led us to innovate and find new ways to meet your emerging needs.
