SWITCHING TO VCCU IS EASY!

With our Switch Kit guide, we take the worry out of changing financial institutions. Moving your accounts to Virginia Coop Credit Union (VCCU) is fast, secure, simple and convenient.

Switch Checking

STEP 1

OPEN YOUR NEW ACCOUNT
Open your new account(s) at Virginia Coop Credit Union. Call us at 218-741-5644 or stop in our office at 811 4th Street North in Virginia.

STEP 2

SWITCH YOUR AUTOMATIC TRANSACTIONS
Download and complete our Direct Deposit form and Automatic Withdrawal Authorization forms.

STEP 3

CLOSE PREVIOUS ACCOUNTS
Download and complete the Account Closure Authorization form. Any remaining account balance will be transferred to VCCU.

Direct Deposit Authorization

The first thing you need to do is make sure you have money coming into your new account. Download and complete this form, then give it to your HR or payroll department. This has the information they need to start sending your direct deposit to your new account.

CHECKLIST FOR DIRECT DEPOSIT
Here is a helpful reminder list to remember all your direct deposits you need to transfer. These are the most common direct deposits.

Account Withdrawal Authorization

This form authorizes your employer, retirement and pension funds, or any other agency to deposit your funds directly into your VCCU account. One form for each deposit.

Here is a list of some of the commonly used automatic payments.

  • Home Mortgage
  • Auto Loans
  • Utilities

Account Closure Authorization

This closes your old account(s). The form has all the wording you should need in order to close out your current account(s). Be sure to verify any outstanding items have cleared your old accounts.
